Virtualization
FreeCORE can run software in jails, OCI applications and virtual machines. The available engines depend on the installed version.
FreeCORE 15.0 maintains iocage jails, plugins and bhyve VMs. FreeCORE 15.1 adds Applications and Bastille and retires the plugin store. Start with Plugins, Jails and Applications when choosing an engine or moving an existing workload.
For 15.1, follow Installing and Managing Applications or Bastille Jails. The remaining jail guides describe iocage. Review VM Firmware before moving a GRUB or UEFI-CSM guest to 15.1.
