Release notes for each FreeCORE version.
15.0-U2.1 is the current installer on the maintained 15.0 line, published on 6 October 2026. 15.1-RC8 is the current release candidate on the separate 15.1 line, published on 6 October 2026.
15.0 maintains the TrueNAS CORE 13.3 storage, jail, plugin and VM model. 15.1 introduces Applications, Bastille and other platform changes. Review its plugin and VM compatibility notes before choosing that train.
The website changelog also records earlier 15.0 updates. The original 15.0 notes below describe the first stable release.
